Meeting with JAVIER CÁMARA
On the occasion of the premiere in the Community of Madrid of his exhibition El Placer de Mirar, we will chat with the two-time winner of the Goya and Silver Shell in San Sebastian, about his more unknown and creative facets. As a documentary photographer, he becomes a spy and portraitist of intra-cinema, with insinuating and daring frames that reveal his years of work surrounded by lenses. As a filmmaker, and in the context of this ALCINE being dedicated to series, he has surprised everyone with two bottled chapters for the series Venga Juan/Vamos Juan, where he demonstrates an exquisite mastery of staging and the work of the actors. Two facets that will hopefully bring us many more Cameras in the future.
The talk will be led by Jesús Rocandio, curator and director of the Casa de la Imagen in Logroño, original producers of the exhibition on the occasion of the Actual 2022 festival.
