Anna remembers stories from her childhood that were told to her so often that they became self-descriptions. Anna as a child in ballet class, Anna with a family friend in Venice, Anna as a teenager at the disco. These memories are part of an identity that is defined by the fat body, by the implanted thought of being wrong.
Julia Roesler studied cultural studies and aesthetic practice at the Hildesheim University Foundation, with studies in Freiburg and Argentina. Since receiving her diploma, she has been working as a freelance director. She is a founding member of the independent company Werkgruppe2 and has directed all its productions. She was nominated as a promising director in the specialist magazine Theater heute for the production Polnische Perlen. The project Survival was one of the ten productions of 2020 in the nachtkritik critics' poll. Numerous participations in panels and discussions, e.g. at the DOK in Leipzig. Julia Roesler lives in Göttingen.
