A docu-drama that spotlights the strength of a community when faced with eviction. "Hanging On" reminds us about the struggles of people who are slipping through the cracks of society and what it means to have a home.
Alfie is a Leeds born/based writer and director who grew up making short films with his dog instead of going to university. He is a previous BFI Future Film Award winner and was selected a director on 2021 Screen Yorkshire's FLEX. Also an alumni of BFI Film Academy (NFTS) and Creative UK's ShortFLIX. His films have had acclaim from Shane Meadows, Danny Boyle and Asif Kapadia. He has three shorts due for completion in 2022.
