Elena Tara (31) Director, screenwriter and illustrator graduated in Journalism from the UCM and graduated in Film Direction in 2018 from the ECAM. In his career as a short filmmaker, he has received several awards and special mentions such as the Olhares do Mediterráneo Women's Film Festival in Portugal, the nomination for Best Director at the PNR in Madrid or the award for Best Original Screenplay at the Mostra de cinema Jova d' Elx. His short film 'Ella, frozen to death. I, soaked to the bone' has numerous selections at national and international festivals such as the Huesca International Film Festival, winner of the Best Director Award at the Revolution Me Festival NY (2020). His first feature film project, 'Ripli', has been selected for Cima Impulsa, a program in collaboration with Netflix and the ICAA. His second feature film project 'The Skin of Oranges' was among the finalists for the Residence of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. In 2022, she shoots her eighth short film, 'Lo Peor que puede Pasar', the winning short film of the 1st Project Contest Against Gender Violence awarded by CIMA. Currently, it is part of La Incubadora (The Screen) 2022 in its fifth edition with the project 'Ripli'.
