Kids have their own things… and at ALCINE we have 'Shorts for Shorties'.
A selection of international short films, to get young kids involved in the world of short film, maybe even for the first time. A collection of pieces made specifically for them; a chance to discover a whole new world, full of talent, fantasy and humour.
This year we have prepared two very special sessions, in addition to the usual programme. It’s the Show de la Plasti (on Tuesday the 12th, in two sessions arranged with local schools), a performance workshop in which the kids are animated on their arrival, and ready to animate when they leave.
Paramotion has designed a very special workshop in which the young audience of animators are shown the secrets of stop motion; the technique behind image-by-image animations (aka; photo-by-photo). They can watch live and on a big screen, while applying their new skills in their seats. A range of animated films using plasticine will bring the curtain down on the sessions.
A fun and varied programme of a range of works of animation from different countries can be watched by anyone who cannot attend this enjoyable master class.
