As a result of one of the members of Detektivbyrån falling ill, the original inaugural concert of the Alcine Film Festival has been cancelled, and will be replaced by a performance by Pelle Carlberg (Sweden/Labrador).
Pelle Carlberg is going to present his latest work,
The Lilac Time (Labrador/2008) at the Teatro Salón Cervantes. A pop record from this nostalgic and biographical soul evoking his adolescence with Latin-Caribbean rhythms endowing the tracks (Jenesaispop) with a happy vibe and with which he has travelled all over Spain. Over the last two years, he has played in cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Saragossa, Vigo, Murcia, Porto and Lisbon, and in festivals such as the South Pop Festival in Seville. He is always accompanied by his one-man orchestra, Jonathan Hummelman, a true force of nature; he plays his original percussion pack, harmonica and bass as well as singing some great backing vocals. You can see them in action with your own eyes on the 6th of November, and better still hear their music at our excellent venue, the Teatro Salón Cervantes, in Alcalá de Henares, and for free.
